Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult period, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally separating with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks his maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt after that period of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is particularly special," said tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had led some to question if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.
However the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
Both players traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour victory, took control to force a third set.
The opponent saved four early-game opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the title with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
